So, again: ModRetro can fuck off. Especially that walking bag of bone and gristle called Palmer Luckey. $320 for an FPGA N64 clone? Yeah, thats a rip off. Especially as $90 of that price is the OPTIONAL controller! Buy a console, then pay an extra $90 just to play with the fucking thing? Fucking grifting cunts.

And that’s before we get into the real bullshit with palmer Luckey. Y’see, Palmer isn’t a very nice man. Oh no. After all the work he did at Oculus with the Oculus VR kit, he then went on to found Anduril. Anduril are an arms manufacturer which specialises in drones. Drones that have been used in many warzones around the world and have certainly been used to target civilian infrastructure. Something Luckey seems to shrug off as nothing important. Indeed he’s so proud of his militaristic bullshit he produced a special edition of his Game Boy knock off made from metal used in the production of his drones. (of course, if he had to fight himself, you know he would run for the hills faster than a startled gazelle).

Oh, and his political views? He’s an overt MAGA Trump supporter, having donated millions of dollars to the Grifter-In Chief. And he is proudly a self-proclaimed “radical Zionist”.

Any other reasons to find this man reprehensible? Oh yeah… his views on women & girls. he has openly spoken of believing that once girls reach the age of 16, their purpose should be to breed. Now, if that isn’t creepy and noncey, I don’t know what is.

Oh, and he looks like an absolute cunt. Now, there is nothing wrong with Hawaiian shirts. Hell, I own a few. But combined with a soul patch (what is this, 1999?) and mullet? He looks kinda pervy and gross.

So, if you were thinking of buying the ModRetro M64, maybe give some thought to where your money is going. There are many better options if you want to play N64 games on a modern TV. Original consoles are easy to get, and decent HDMI upscalers are easy enough to find online. Or there are other FPGA options out there if you want new hardware. Or just emulate the damn thing on your PC (or Switch/Switch 2). But really, don’t give your money to Palmer Luckey and ModRetro. Or any company that partners with them, such as Argonaut Games.
